How U.S. stop an invasion of China?
Imagine this: Some years down the road, the supply of a vital resource becomes so low that caused the war. China lands in Alaska and marches across Canada to the United States. I wait for a while but the end is inevitable. The medium entire western U.S. becomes occupied. Over time, the survivors in the west are trapped behind enemy lines. Those who went to hills in the beginning is using guerrilla tactics in the occupation force. Basically only small battles they know they can win and stying light and mobile. That would a good movie or book, eh?
There are lots of problems with this, but I will treat it as if expecting an honest answer. First Instead, we have eyes in the sky looking at all times, and it would be almost impossible to build the number of boats necessary for any great strength to the U.S. coasts They would have to deflect or defeat in detail a large number of our naval and air assets, or could only pick off at our leisure. Think of it have literally thousands of miles of ocean hostile to the cross and we have very, very good submarines and other naval air assets. I do not know for sure, but even a super-tanker has become surreptitiously to bring combat troops can only be what, a thousand soldiers? What happens to their tanks? What happens to your ammunition resupply? Food? Close your eyes and try to imagine how many ships would not be sufficient to lead to armed combat troops to make a difference. It took almost six months to put 350,000 troops and their equipment in Saudi Arabia for the Gulf War, and who are recognized as world experts in transport troops and equipment – and that was without any resistance. I guarantee you would see the resistance to the U.S. I know that I would not be trying to land troops in the middle of an armed people, and in Alaska I suspect that most people are armed in some way or another. Moving the troops is the easy part, assuming you can ensure a landing site in the U.S. Continental, a difficult prospect at all. However, to move their heavy combat gear, well, China is not currently able to do anything like that. It would take years and years to build a force that would be able to do that, and certainly would be watching. Remember that true reason remains Taiwan Taiwan because the Chinese are not able to mount a viable threat through the relatively small body of water between the two, and there is a lot more water to reach the U.S. that to reach Taiwan. Even if they could land in Alaska in force (and I do not see how you could do without a lot of help a lot of other countries), they have a long way to go to hit the mainland, and would be a long and painful journey into a beehive, I suspect. How get the number of tanks on land that would be required to overwhelm U.S. defenses? More importantly, logistics supply chain would be many thousands of miles long, and it would go against one of the most productive nations on earth without logistical supply line stretching behind them. The issues of quality of weapons is another whole story that would be impossible to enter this forum. Even if they could get the soldiers here, I sincerely doubt it, yet would have to offer and keep them ready for combat. In general, I refuse to say that nothing is completely impossible, but I think it would be very, very difficult if not impossible. HONEST I love to read other people make about it.
