Is there any US phone service or way to send text messages to European Phones?
I have girlfriend that lives in the Ukraine and I have Samsung-i830 on the Verizon service, is there any way for me to send her text messages/ sms internaitonally so she can get them on her phone! Right now I can because verizon doesn offer text messages to certain counties! Verizon is limited on theirr world capabilities! It seems to me that T-Mobile has some more global networks, would it work if I changed to them! Basically, is there any service thatw ould allow me to send sms message from an American phone to a European phone! I can’t understand why no one had made this happen on a larger scale! People do have loved ones overseas, it sucks to have to go to a computer jist to send a message, when you should be able to do it from your own cell phone not matter what part of the world they live in? Please help?
Buy a t-mobile “ToGo” phone and prepaid card. Use it only for SMS.
TMobile and Cingular offer SMS to foreign countries, while Verizon/AllTel and Sprint do not. The reason is that TMobile and CIngular are GSM, and the other guys are CDMA. The foreign guys are all GSM.
