mobile 6.1 omnia updates

WinMo 6.5 is coming. If I have a mobile with WinMo 6.1, will I be able to update?

Specifically, the samsung Omnia.

Even Samsung can’t tell you that. They might no longer be supporting the Omnia by the time the next revision is released by Microsoft so don’t hold your breath. WM7.0 might be released instead.
