Is this home is legal?
Check this website.

Most places have zoning laws. Like in my home town, minimum size is 1500 square feet. The county law is 1200 square feet. Some high end neighborhood required 3,000 and up.
How does this tiny home is legal? Also getting water and sewers permit only approve if the home is following the zoning laws.
Even mobile trailer park don’t allow single trailer anymore. Any new development parks are now required double wide with 1200 square feet or higher. Only chance you may buy new single wide is the older park that developed before laws change if you can find empty site.
Some states have different laws, but I doubts that state would allow this 89 square foot home.
Even a campsite, the law only allow motor homes and trailer to be on site with hook up during spring, summer and fall, not full years round. It has to be remove once it close for winter.
How can this 89 square feet home be legal?
They’re called (small) modular homes and they are legal ONLY IN certain places. There are many cities that are trying to change zoning bylaws to allow for homes that have enough FSR (size of home that can be built relative to size of land/lot) to have these on there. They might not be legal where you are, but they are becoming quite popular for minimalists and cities are starting to turn around and agree. But don’t expect the hype to last because you most definitely won’t be seeing these popping up everywhere.
