Try putting an ad in Quids In (0870 707 5544), which would cost you £14 for 4 weeks or so. It’s cheaper than the Echo, at least!
Another option is putting in a free posting at Gumtree (http://liverpool.gumtree.com/) , which seems to be a good place for this kind of thing.
