Why is my optical drive disappeared?
optical drive has gone completely from my laptop. no show the dose on the computer or device manager or BIOS. The drive is open and ignited. light still comes on. I tried the upper and lower filters fix application. Taking the unit out and then putting it back in nothing worked. Plzz help. Dean, I hear. Remember Me tested the IDE created? Go to the function of IDE BIOS to configure and there, set the mode in the optical channel units to 1, and this should force recognition (Hopefully). Best of luck.
