Phenomena extreme weather, increased energy demand and an aging energy infrastructure means that UK companies should be prepared for a less reliable power supply, potential harmful spikes and blackouts, says Peter Bentley, director of sales of uninterrupted Power Supplies Ltd.
Since our streets first lit by electricity in 1870, we have come to expect a reliable supply of energy. However, the evidence and expert opinion suggest that there is good reason for alarm about future supply, in marked contrast to the rapid growth in demand.
