I have 4 drawers that I can not find anything to baby proof them. Any suggestions? In my kitchen I have 4 boxes that are stacked. And I can not find anything to test the baby with them. These boxes are all that remains my son out of the kitchen, because there are knives in there. I tired of using those things cabinet that you have to push down to open, but that do not fit (we live in a mobile home). I also bought some plastic things safety first which is fastened to one side and then you can press and its kind of like a belt buckle. BC wood cabinets are false, that has not stick! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to baby proof those drawers? We have baby gates so far, but I'm so tired of them, which is a hastle to go and more than 20 times a day!
I had a similar situation with my drawers and babies and found no proof device working children. Tho ours is metal. I used a rod running through the handles of the drawers that this prevents him from being able to open (Until it grows out anyway) I also suggest moving the knives to a top drawer or even in a plastic container on top of the fridge for now and use the lowest drawer of a box of mini toys. Rotate the toys out every week or so. This will keep the little man busy while you cook, etc put stupid things in my "drawer of children" tablespoons of Antigua and Tupperware containers. Baby food jars with some wooden blocks. My kids loved to put the blocks or a small towel on the containers and trying to get out. You will find when you give a point that can dig through play and below, which vary somewhat with what's inside is going to keep going to the drawer only. Hope that helps!
