What use a Blackberry, a Palm Pilot or Windows Mobile device?

I'll shop around for a new smartphone device which can be modified by the addition of third party software. I currently use a Palm TX, but would like to have a smart phone instead. I have looked at the iPhone, but no company in the state where I live would support it. I am seriously considering a Treo 755p, but I would like to know Blackberry and Windows Mobile as well people.

I have a Samsung Blackjack. I really like Windows Mobile, but not quite the learning curve when you first get it, because it is not as intuitive as the palm and default operating system. There are lots of 3rd party applications, although not as much as with the palm. Since you had a TX, the Treo is probably the best idea especially if you do not want to learn a new operating system. All I can say is that once you take the smartphone / PDA phone route, it is difficult to go back. It's wonderful to be able to surf the web without having to find a wifi signal or tied to another phone. Having a phone / PDA / viewer/mp3 movie player / machine game is awesome.
