Will Windows mobile 5.0 allow network browsing, as in shared folders on a pc?

I saw this outline of how to do network browsing. I have XP Home on PC with file sharing enabled over wireless network and firewall settings are what they should be. I want to access my shared folders using my Hp iPAQ rx1955 w/ Windows Mobile 5.0. When I try to open path on device, is tells me that it can’t connect with current connection settings. Am I dreaming or can I do this?
Yes it will work if it ha the wireless connection but you must download the HP fix on www.hp.com, update the software then sync the two together, and follow directions.
