Help with updating my blackjack II to windows mobile 6.1?

I have been following the steps from that website and all the steps were working fine until step four. In step four, where i you actually install the windows mobile onto the blackjack II, I completed the first instruction box, but for the second instruction box, i checked off the small box which said i completed the steps indicated above, and then when i clicked next, an error poped up which said S/W version is wrong. Please check the device. Everything is hooked up correctly but for some reason this error comes. I never had problems with the software on my phone so i dont know if the problem is coming from my phone or my computer. Please help me
