Why I was able to receive Yahoo email on outlook without subscribing for Yahoo Mail Plus??? It did work till?
I have just a regular yahoo email account and I have my SE Xperia X1 phone with Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro in it. I did set up email access on built in outlook software, worked great, but were no able to send messages. But today it stopped to work at all, keeps asking me to reenter email address and password, but when attempts to log on it fails. What has happened and what can I do to receive and send messages too?
You probably won’t be able to use a FREE Yahoo account in that way. Here’s the settings for the PAID version Yahoo Mail Plus:
Incoming mail server settings
* POP server: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
* Use SSL
* Port: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings
* SMTP server: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
* Use SSL
* Port: 465
* Use authentication
* Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the “@yahoo.com”, for example, “testing80”)
* Email Address: Your Yahoo! Mail address (for example, testing80@yahoo.com)
* Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
Upgrade first by clicking Options > Mail Plus > Upgrade Now > enter your payment details for annual fee of $19.99
