Samsung Blackjack II not recognized by Windows?
I just purchased a BJ II from AT&T. It has Windows Mobile 6 on the phone and ActiveSync 4.5 on the desktop. I am running XP SP2. When I plug my phone into the system using the provided USB cable, I get a Windows error saying that the device has malfunctioned.
Here is what I have done so far:
Uninstalled all of the USB ports and re-installed.
Un and re-installed the software
Added the phone to my firewalls
Tried all of the USB ports on my system.
Attempted the same install on my laptop with the same results.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
It is the McAfee firewall. I shut it down and the devide connected. Now I just need to figure out the McAfee piece.
Did you maybe miss the allow UBS connection option when you installed AS? If the connection setup in AS is ok, take the device to an AT&T store near you and let them try to troubleshoot it or just call AT&T support for exchange.
