Samsung Blackjack ActiveSync I have not seen working USB ports.?
I recently reloaded my Windows PC with Windows XP / Pro Before reinstallation, My Samsung Blackjack was working fine with my PC to synchronize using ActiveSync. After relocation, ActiveSync does not recognize the phone at all. Nor I can charge the phone by simply connecting an asset or USB1.x 2.0. Other Devices (WebCam, iPod) work with any USB port without problems. When I connect the phone USB port, I hear the right sound from my PC, but ActiveSync still not see the device. I found an article that I recommended to install Microsoft Office to get and synchronize your phone to work properly. I installed the office yesterday and rebooted, but the software and still not see the device and still can not charge through USB port. Samsumg a TCA support sites are pretty useless, so I leave my question here. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
All WM5 devices using the USB connection as TCP / IP. The WM device will appear as a network card and the firewall really block AS. His old iPaq uses USB connection as comminication number only. There are settings there that lets you change the USB mode AS, but I'm not going to work with the BlackJack. Also, you can attempting to use the Bluetooth connection to synchronize. It is not an easy task. If your computer is running Windows Vista, will be easier. Anyway, you need to start BT synchronization from ActiveSync (menu-> Connect via BT) on the phone and also allows you to find and create a profile for your PC so you can create a service ActiveSync a "false" to the profile of your PC to your phone. I say service is false because there is no such thing as ActiveSync service BT profiles. It's just Windows Mobile way to make a series of port services like the ActiveSync service. The hard part is on your side of the PC, as it varies from a BT stack to another. But from what I read, ActiveSync over BT usually use the BT COM port 7. Make sure it is enabled in the configuration of your PC with ActiveSync.
