ActiveSync does not recognize Outlook is installed on my computer?
I just bought a HTC Touch Pro works with Windows Mobile 6.1. I installed ActiveSync 4.5. It gives me an error message ", while its start-up if I want to sync contacts, calendar, etc. I need to install Outlook on your computer. Well, I have Outlook on your computer. I think the problem is related to the fact that I have full installed Office XP, including Outlook. But when I upgraded to Office 2007 I bought Home and Student, which does not include Outlook. I currently have the full implementation of Office XP on my computer, and the total not (Outlook) Office 2007. I think Activesync is just look and not see 2007 Outlook and give to me. I've been searching forums, but is taking me nowhere. Thoughts? Thanks!
Check if you are on the list of Outlook as your default program for "calendar" and "list of contacts." Go to Internet Options in the Control Panel Programs tab, check to see if Outlook is listed for each of these environments. If not, click the drop-down menu and change it.
